| Motley Crue - Motley Crue, Girls Girls Girls (going by this board's reaction to it) Metallica - Black Album, Reload Megadeth - Risk, Youthanasia Judas Priest - Turbo Bon Jovi - Crush (the beginning of the decline for many Bon Jovi fans, but it's one of their best, IMO), Bounce Def Leppard - YEAH! Edguy - Rocket Ride KISS - Dynasty, Unmasked, Crazy Nights, Asylum - Phoenix Reign Drummer wrote:

Kiss- The Elder
Agreed on both. I think the tide has turned on The Elder though. I hear from more KISS fans who love it, than hate it. | |

| Angel Dust - Enlighten the Darkness.
Most of you know how I feel about Angel Dust [or any great thrash band that turned into generic power metal], but they [in my book] actually HAVE made 1 decent album since the 80's [see above]. |

| As I looked thru this thread I realized that alot of albums that are hated I do like (in some cases love) and most of my choices mirror the choices of others so here it is: Dokken-Shadowlife ( took a chance adding modern elements) Mega Deth-Risk ( interesting take on AOR type of rock) Metallica-St. Anger ( most uncommerical cd by a major band in ages) Kiss-The Elder (orchestra, Lou Reed co-writing the lyrics !!!) Alice Cooper-Flush the Fashion(new wave Alice) The Doors-Full Circle ( the 2nd and final lp made after Morrison's death with Manzarek and Kreiger doing the vocals) UFO-Misdemnor (very very very commerical but not bad) | |

| Enuff Z'nuff Not just one album, but their whole discography. I've liked everything I ever heard from these guys, yet they get no respect. I've taken some harsh criticism from friends about having these "posers" in my collection. F*ck 'em. It's MY collection. | |

| KISS "The Elder" I think when this came out people were still expecting "Detroit Rock City", "Calling Dr Love" and "Strutter" type songs. "The Elder" really stepped away from that and most folks being narrow minded couldn't give it a few extra spins to see if they could get past the fact that it wasn't the standard KISS they already knew. I liked/like "the Elder" to this day but then I have been a huge fan of KISS since the first time I heard them in 1975. I tend be one of these guys who if I like something by a band I will almost always like everything they do. There are exceptions occasionally but as a general rule... if I like Metallica, I like all Metallica, and do, except for St Anger. Other than the title track I didn't care for any of it. Maybe I should heed my own words and try to give it a few more tries. | |

| The first one that springs to mind for me is Helloween, Pink Bubbles Go Ape. After the mighty Seven Keys albums this was hated but for some reason I love it, heavy metal hamsters, who said the Germans have no sense of humer, genius. | |
