| I was listening to Barren Cross' "Rattle Your Cage" album today, and for once I really loved the album. When it was new, I absolutely hated most of it. And although it has grown on me over time, today was the first time I enjoyed it from start to finish, and kept telling myself how much I really liked it! _________________ | |

| Wayne - Metal Church I don't know why I didn't like it, but after it came out I purchased it and gave it a spin and just shelved it for years, then I just came across it one day and spun it again, I LOVED it from then on to this day. |

| SACRAMENT - Haunts of Violence
I didn't hate it, but I was way to young and dumb to appreciate it's incredibleness when I bought the CD in 1992. I was like, "pretty good" and really never listen to it until finding it in an old box a couple years ago.

| Blue Murder - Nothin' But Trouble. After their debut, I was excited about this release but once I got it,it was kinda bland to me. I held on to it though and eventually it grew on me. Now I enjoy it immensely. | |

| The first Extreme album, I always wrote it off as ultra wussified until about 4 years ago or so. Now I love it, except for that damn Mutha song. | |

| Hate is such a strong word, I remember when Velvet Revolver's "Contraband" came out and I bought it, and played it and I was not too impressed, I didn't hate it, but it really did nothing for me. I kinda shelved it until their 2nd album "Libertad" came out. I bought it and I was hooked, and after getting into Libertad for awhile I started playing Contraband too, and really started liking it then. I like Libertad more, but I like Contraband a lot more now than I did when it first came out. | |

Id have to say for me it was STP - Core
I wasnt impressed all in all at the time with STP but had bought it for one song, then it turned into 2, then 3 and next thing I know its heavily in my rotation in my cd player and always spin it from start to finish

| I've been racking my brain for something to add here, but generally speaking, if I hate an album, I ditch it. The only one that comes close is Risk by Megadeth. I hated it when it was first released and I've only slightly warmed up to it in the last year or so. I keep it around because it fills a space in the Megadeth catalog. I could say the same thing about St. Anger, but I still can't find any redeeming qualities in that turd. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| Napalm Death - Diatribes
the catchy, light feel of it put me off originally. it took me a number of years to get into it. now i like it for what it was. an attempt at commercial death metal. thankfully they gave up attempt at mainstream. _________________

| Control Denied - Fragile Art Of Existence
When it came out I hated those clean vocals and basically wanted it to be a Death record. Not long ago I bought it again and can't understand what my problem was.

I remember when I was 13 when I first got into metal I listened to Master of Puppets for the first time and didn't like it especially the title song but after like 5 listens it grew on me and I now think its their best album along with ride the lightning

I agree, forgot to add that one. The vocals at the time were really grating to me but now it doesn't bother me at all.
