Unreleased albums

What albums are out there, recorded and all, but for whatever reason never released?

I think KISS started working on an album after Unmasked that was to be heavier than the last efforts. But they scrapped those songs in favor of what ended up on The Elder. I'm not sure they ever finished any of these songs though. Might have been the songs that ended up on Killers, but I dunno.

Grim Reaper has one that was recorded and never released. I'd love to see that one come out!

The Moshketeers recorded an entire album in the 90's that was never released.

Vinnie Vincent Invasion's third album was never officially released.

Until recently Dee Snider's Desperado project sat in the vaults of Sony Records.

Tora Tora is another one. The master was going for big bucks on ebay last year.

how about Chinese Democracy?

I have that Tora Tora album....

I actually have a LOT of "officially unreleased" albums in my collection. Some later surfaced with band members snagging the rights to them but never "officially" releasing them through the band. Others were leaked by sound engineers, producers, etc.

This album was scrapped for Electric. Although, several of the songs were reworked for Electric.

Electric Angels - New York Times (1992)
Rock City Angels - 2nd Album (1990)


....and Raging Slab had 3 albums over the late 80's/early 90's that record company's knocked back.

Is that Guitars from Hell? I think there's one or two more EPs of his floating around, not sure if they were ever official but it's a shame this guy hasn't done much since VVI.

New York Times by Electric Angels is out there if you know where to look. Rock City Angels is out there, also.

The Vinnie Vincent stuff is pretty easy to come by, also, though some of the versions are of POOR quality.

Yeah but only in bootleg form, one i haven't seen around or heard is The Hangmen's 2nd album dubbed Suicide Doors produced by Rob Younger (Radio Birdman) that was to come out through Geffen Records in '93. Apparently still locked in the vaults somewhere.

Tora Tora's is only in boot form, also, and it is VERY low quality....

ROSE had recorded a heavy version of the Crazy Little World album before scrapping it and re-recording it in the alternative state it was ultimately released in.

Mike Link, the bass player at the time, told me about it but said the masters for the heavy version were MIA. He did say he had one or two songs from the sessions that he was going to send my way at some point - which I'm still waiting for.
