That is also why I voted him. He may have been a talented songwriter and singer, but as a guitarist he was purely mediocre IMO.

being a guitarist isn't just playing solos...it's also about writing songs...which is why Kurt Cobain makes it to Best Guitarist lists....

Kurt then Adam Jones. Kurt could write music but as a guitar player he was average at best. Even in the grunge scene, every other band had a better guitarist

None of them are overrated. Their all great guitarists in their own right.

Kurt had that knack of writing a catchy guitar line or riff that hooked you and millions of others.

......Something a majority of guitarists can't claim to have done.
