| There is a discussion on blabbermouth about Mick's ability as a guitarist. I want to know everyone here's opinion. I think he's great at memorable simplistic riffs and ok at soloing. http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=99725 | |

| Considering Mick Mars has an arthritic condition called Ankylosing Spondylitis , I think he handles himself quite well. I think it's unbelievable what the guy does out on stage, considering he looks like he's about to die at any moment. He's about as frail as they come, but kudos to him. I would never put him in my list of top guitarists, but in the guts category; he's right up there. | |

| My buddy claims to have heard some blues stuff he did that ruled, but I have yet to hear it. I think without Mick, Crue has no musical credibility. Just like Ace Frehley, you don't have to shred to be good. |

| I call off work if I have the beer squirts and this guy plays for a rock band in his condition. I think that says alot. More about me, less about Mick. |

| Mick is a solid guitar player, but he's not a great guitar player. I still give him a lot of respect for going out and playing arena's and stuff in his condition. | |

| I would say good, but not great. And I definately give him props for plugging away all these years with a condition that can directly impede his playing ability. Peace. | |

| Mick is very underrated, I especially like his work on Motley Crue's self-titled with Corabi. | |

| I love Mick. He has a very distinctive soloing style that I love. I think he and Tommy were the standout members on Saints. Listen to the guitar in "Chicks=Trouble".
Favourite Mick solos: Louder Than Hell; Knock Em' Dead Kid; Bastard; Keep Your Eye On The Money; Don't Go Away Mad; Primal Scream; Punched In The Teeth By Love; All In The Name Of
I actually don't really like the talk-box solo in Kickstart My Heart... |

| I personally think that the record they did with Corabi was by far their best. The riffing, the performances and the sheer wall of sound on that Cd was killer! \m/ | |

I've seen interviews with Nikki where he says that he believes if that album had been released under any other (band) name it would've been a huge success. I agree with that 100%. Even though they retained an underlying heavy metal/hard rock sound on the album, it has an angry, grunge-like sound to it. In a time when bands like Alice In Chains were huge, it's a wonder why Motley's album didn't break them to a new crowd, at least on a grander scale. Perhaps the glam reputation hurt them. |
