Oooooo...that "screw the pooch" one always makes me wince. I don't even want to know the derivation of that one.

And to further my apparent obsession with the F bomb ones:

"I kindly figured that was the answer"

I've grown to appreciate my W. Texas brethren, but these kind of phrases still irk me.

"I like to have never" is big in middle Tennessee too. Used to hear that all the time.

As well as this one when it was getting ready to storm:

"It's gonna come up a cloud!"

Wow, so glad they don't say that here. It would be colloquialism overload!

I personally use that one alot.

Then there are my Connecticut colloquilisms:

"Ewwww! That shkeeves me."

"What a stoonod!"

and of course...

"fuhgedabotit!"

And don't even get me started on the Pennsylvania Dutch-isms I grew up with.

My bro and I use that one a lot too, except we replace "Cheerios" with "Corn Flakes." If we're about to deliver some bad news we'll start by saying "I hate to piss on your corn flakes, but..."
