They need a remix, not just a remaster.
Exactly!
It's a great record, but the mixing sucks.

What Ult said. I'll not be purchasing this until the original master tapes are located and a proper release is done.
Same here. I already have the Castle remaster... I want the proper remix!

There's an original unmixed version floating out there-I downloaded it off somebody's blog not long ago. It sounds real good.

About the cover art, maybe its just the 15 year old in me, but I always thought the album cover was cool. (I guess I'm the only one)

I like Gillan's solo material (or what I've heard), but I don't know that song.
I've listened through whole albums, but the only one I have on CD is the Unchain the Brain 2CD best of compilation.

I know that Iommi has been talking about remixing/remastering Born Again for a while, but I got tired of waiting and bought it on CD during my "I must complete my Black Sabbath discography" marathon a couple of years ago.
The version I have is the Castle/Sanctuary Records remaster from the late 90s. Prior to this I have only owned it on vinyl and had a CD-R copy which I burnt off of my brother's CD (I have no idea which version he had).
For what it's worth, the Sanctuary version sounds fine to me. I think after all these years I've gotten so used to the muddy/weird production of this album that a cleaned up remix wouldn't sound "right" to me.
