| I just wanted to post something about NOTB because it's my favorite Metal album (except for maybe Master of Puppets). Do you agree? Tell me your opinions. | |

| Dude, this forum is for reviews. That's not a review, and that image is way too big. |

| Here's a review: This album is a classic and must have by all metal fans! From the start to finish, pure metal with only one filler track (gangland). The album is the debut of Bruce Bruce, woops, Dickinson with Maiden and what a glorious debut it is! The album kicks off with Invaders, a great album opener, even if it sounds like a letover from Killers. Next, we roll though Children Of The Damned and on to The Prisoner, a great tune about about a TV show and then off to number for some fun. The first side of the album shows a glimpse of where Maiden would be heading in the future with songs about history (invaders) and fiction (the prisoner). On to side two which includes the most recongized Maiden song of all time (run to the hills). The number of the beast kicks us off with a reading from the Holy Bible's book of Revelations. Then it kicks in! Bruce really shows off his vocal range on this track and he continue it into Run To The Hills and the incredible final scream. Here's the the album is bogged down with gangland, the only filler track on the album. The run to the hills B side, Total Eclipse, would have been a better track to include. Fortunately, Maiden decided to include it on the remastered version of the CD. The album closes with a song that has been part of IM's live set ever since the album was released, Hallowed Be The Name. The album leaves you wanting more Maiden. Production wise, it was good for the time with long time Maiden producer Martin Birch creating the definative NWOBHW sound. Today, it sounds dated but who cares???? It's a great piece of Metal. How could Maiden top this release? Well, with Piece Of Mind!!!! Maiden had an amazing run of great albums though the 80's, unmatched by most of their contemporaries who released great album, so so album, great album, crap album. If you don;t have this CD, pick it up! | |

| Excellent album.
I actually think "Gangland" is a pretty awesome track. I don't think Maiden began using filler until NPFTD. Even then, all the tunes were awesome. I'm yet to encounter a Maiden tune I didn't thoroughly enjoy. And that goes for the Bayley era too. |

But, when the subject is so awesome, no one minds to talk about it over and over again. It's the same reason why we listen to the same albums over and over again. Greatness is greatness! And, this album is, most defnitely, greatness! |
