That should be the definition for melodic metal in a dictionary. I am head over heels in LOVE with those two albums and hope one day for a third and maybe one day, a tour with all three guys (Magnus, Allen, and Lande-that would be friggin' awesome ).

ya Children of Bodom is one of my fav bands. I've just recently been getting into Between the Buried and Me.

jesus. TELL me i didn't see Bring Me The Horizon??? yuck : i don't even consider them metal. Screamo, maybe, but when i listen to them, i just get this image of these EMO-looking mofos with their lip piercings and trendy trash-haircuts and their lisps (HAHA AT METALLICA) belting crap out. they don't do it for me

I was messing with you too! I like Allen/Lande, but there's so much that can be labeled as melodic.

Dog Bring Me the Horizon isn't screamo.
Demon Hunter is way softer than Bring Me the Horizon.
Who cares how they look, they write good music in my opinion.

Also, I'd recomend checking out August Burns Red or Protest the Hero if you want to hear really melodic stuff.
The bassist from Protest is one of the best I've ever heard.

Both August Burns Red an Protest the hero are both metalcore. I think you might be getting more techinical/clean production mixed up with melodic Brother.

...I hardly think production has anything to do with a band being melodic.
August Burns Red and Protest are both pretty melodious.
