I know only seven witches and metal church. I have to check those bands

I would add Fabio Lione from Rhapsody, and Tim Owens ex Judas Priest and Iced Earth...

Maybe peeps don't think of him as metal but for my money, he's the best vocalist out there.

Wade Black rules and so does Stu Block. Live, Stu rules like nobody's business, he doesn't sound quite as good on the disc he's on, not sure what happened there.

But I'd have to add the singers from Circus Maximus and Mercenary on there too.

Warrel Dane too, I dunno if he falls within the "last 10 years" time frame, but he consistantly rules in my book.

How about Nils Patrik Johansson of Astral Doors and Wuthering Heights?

No he shouldn't, he's been recording albums since at least 85 or so.

OK, given that criteria, scratch DC Cooper. But I still abide by my other nominees:

Probably Cormac Neeson from the Answer, hits that spot right between Steve Marriott and Ray Gillen perfectly with a few Paul Rodgers licks here and there.

Tim Owens does not fit into the "10 year" window, as Heart of a Killer came out in 1993. Wade Black does not either, as his Lucian Blaque band dates back to the early 90's

Although Norman Skinner has been around the metal scene awhile, I include him here because he does not appear to have released a full album until 2005 with Imagika's Devil on Both Sides. Tramontane only released a couple of EP's in the late 80's.

True, but I thought I was the only one who really liked that band (or were even aware of them).

"Leash Law", I bought this one based on a good review in BWBK, didn't care for it at all.

Kristoffer Garm Rygg (Ulver, Head Control System) is also incredible, but I am not sure he fits in to the last 10 years. I only just discovered him about 3 years ago so, I could be off on him.

Mats Levin - Singer of Krux, also top notch, but again I could be off on the 10 year mark.

Speed-Soilwork (although he does quite a few death grunts and shrieks, he also has a good singing voice as well)

ZP Theart-Dragonforce (whether you like them or not, the vocalist is very good)
