Niji really did a good job on it and I was surprised at how nice it sounds.

I'd still be careful playing it.....the vinyl used for pic discs are not very friendly to needles. Mileage may vary.....good score

Drove up to Columbus for a record show today and made a nice haul. All of these are NM condition:
Black Sabbath - Greatest Hits - This is the 1977 NEMS release that was never issued in the US. The cover art is amazing - Brughel's "The Triumph of Death" - http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/10/Thetriumphofdeath.jpg
Dio - The Last In Line Dio - Sacred Heart Dokken - Tooth And Nail Judas Priest - Stained Class - This is a UK first pressing and it's in superb condition - looks brand new Judas Priest - Turbo - also looks brand new Judas Priest - Ram It Down - Opened but still has original plastic Motley Crue - Dr. Feelgood - still sealed Ozzy - Bark At The Moon Rainbow - Down To Earth Riot - Fire Down Under Y&T - Black Tiger
I hadn't been to a record show in about 9 years. The last time I went, it was 90% cds and 10% vinyl. This time it was the reverse and the place was packed. One of the vendors told me he had just replenished all his heavy metal stock because at the last show it was all sold out. He also said, it was mostly young kids buying it. So that's a great sign!
Most of the vendors had all the Record Store Day releases for sale as well. So if you missed them, you should be able to get them fairly easily.

These showed up today:
Raven - Mad E.P. Fifth Angel - Fifth Angel - this is the 1986 Shrapnel version which has a different mix from the Epic records re-release Tank - Armour Plated - this is a gatefold double album best of with their complete b-sides up to 1985 Various - Metal Inferno - This is a comp of mostly NWOBHM bands such as Venom, Crucifixion, Witchfinder Generl, Demon, Angel Witch, Cloven Hoof, Blood and bizarrely enough - Black Widow (although here they are credited as just Widow but I am assuming it's the Black Widow from the early 70's because the song on the comp is Come To The Sabbat.)

I've had this album since I was a kid. It belonged to my father. It's the original pressing mono version. "Glad All Over" reached number 6 on the American U.S. charts, becoming the first British Invasion hit by an artist other than The Beatles. It's a classic 'oldies' record that many bands have covered Dave Clark Five songs including Kiss, TT Quick, Quiet Riot...

I am familiar with this song because of T.T. Quick! I love their cover of it.

Got this today:
3rd Stage Alert - 3rd Stage Alert
This really sounds like long lost tracks from Rainbow's Down To Earth and was produced by Yngwie Malmsteen and features keyboards by Anne Boleyn of Hellion.

I got a promo copy of that album when it first came out. I doubt I've heard that since the 80s, what a blast from the past!

It's one of the three or four or Metal Blade's early EP releases that have never made it to CD.
