Mortification - Primitive Rhythm Machine

I was listening to PRM today for the first time. I was surprised how much I liked it! Morty can be a little hit and miss with me but Im totally digging this album. Good hooks and some killer guitar work on the album. Plus Im digging that album cover!

Great album cover. One of the best that Troy had ever done.

I love Morty. With the exception of Silver Chords, I love all their CDs.

PRM has a raw, nasty, "primitive" sound. I dig it, a lot. Mephibosheth and Gut Wrench are two of my favorites. Have always wanted to cover Gut Wrench.

I love PRM - to me it's in that meaty part of their early catalogue that couldn't miss with me.

Yup, it's a keeper! That Recon, Deliverance, Mortification dood is gold too

I like the tribal almost Sepultura sound to this one.

it's a decent album, but far from their best.

this album is very different than anything else mort have done before and after it. It is like Stryper, almost everything they have done is great

I wonder how much George changed their sound on this? I love this though and want that cover as a tatoo.

That would make a sweet (expensive) tattoo!

I would simplify it down and do one color with a lot of shading.

That album is pretty good, probably the best of the mort thrash offerings to me.

I love it alot, no more or less than most of their albums. The tin can/shoe box snare gets on my nerves a bit but George's guitar work more than makes up for it.

I enjoy all of Mort's LP's, I suppose this one would rate somwhere in the middle of the pack w/me.
