What are the 10 albums you want the most; the ones that headline your wantlist. Now, I am not talking about something new that is coming out that you are looking forward to getting, like the new Priest, Whitesnake, or Def Leppard; but rather something you have hunted high and low, far and wide, for many years. I would love to find these on cd (originals, not recent rerelease):

1.) Hittman S/T
2.) Leatherwolf S/T
3.) Icon - Night of the Crime
4.) Lion - Dangerous Attraction
5.) Fifth Angel - S/T
6.) Fifth Angel - Time Will Tell
7.) Hurricane - Take What You Want ep
8.) Hurricane - Over the Edge
9.) Hurricane - Slave to the Thrill
10.) Keel - The Final Frontier

I have these on cassette or have rerelease with bonus tracks, etc., but I want the originals. Well, I am off to scour the internet. Let me know what you guys are looking for.

I have that Hittman disc you're lookin' for, Sentinel... but I'm a-keepin' it. Laughing

My holy grail CDs off the top of my head (I know you asked for 10, but here's three to start with) would be X-Sinner's GET IT and/or the first two Deliverance albums. I have a CD-R of the X-Sinner and the KMG "2-on-1" reissue of the "D," but of course I'd much rather have the real deal in both cases. Especially since the Deliverance reissue cuts two of the best tracks off of the S/T in order to fit both albums on one CD. (Grrrrrr!)

Oh yea, and I'd like to have a Combat Records pressing of Megadeth's KILLING IS MY BUSINESS that includes the song "These Boots."

I came up with this thread cuz I was counting how many cd's I have on my want list (196) this morning. I am still kicking myself for not buying certain cd's many moons ago. I have always loved metal and have had an interest in it since the mid 1980's, but I spent the last 15-20 years collecting sports cards. I quit that about a year and a half ago and since that time have tripled my cd collection (250-750) since that's where my extra cash goes now. Truthfully, my tastes were not as off the beaten path as some of you guys, so alot of bands that are mentioned on this site, I have never heard of. And, unfortunately, even though I have some rare/scarce football cards, I never thought about cd's going out of print or limited pressings of lesser known bands like Tyketto or Hurricane. While I was riding along in my car sometime in the early 90's listening to all this stuff on cassette, it never occured to me to stop at a record store and grab a cd or two. I always felt the cassettes I had, or the cd's I already owned were enough. I could go on, by the way:

11.) Keel - The Right to Rock
12.) Keel - S/T
13.) Leatherwolf - S/T (1987)
14.) TNT - Knights of the New Thunder
15.) TNT - Tell No Tales

Joanna Dean - Misbehavin'
The Movies - India
The Tigers - S/T

Other than that, I've been lucky enough to round up most of my holy grails the last couple years. Many thanks to Wounded Bird Records (although those are reissues).

Reissues are still cool though, toho, cause as you already know it's the music that is most important. Like I said before, I have a lot of these on cd as recent remasters (Hurricane, Lillian Axe, Keel, etc.) but I definately want the originals. Thank God, that there is a rebirth of metal happening and albums that have lay dormant for so long are now seeing reissue.

Yeah; some stuff I've gotten from Wounded Bird that I never thought would see the light of CD release:

Nantucket
Tuff Darts
Romeo Void
Henry Paul Band
Axe
...and several others I can't remember right now.

On a side note, one "holy grail" album that fell about a year ago was Scorpions "Taken By Force". At the time, all the other Scorps albums were on CD but for some reason that one was only on pricey foreign imports. I finally won it off ebay as a 2 albums on one disc with Animal Magnetism. A few months later, Taken was released in the US as a reissue. No idea what the hold up was with that album.

I also have the reissue of that one (with the band on the cover instead of the graveyard scene); actually found the reissue a few times used at different stores, but never the original.

That's the thing: it's all out there, it's just a matter of price. I could go over to ebay.com right now and fork over about $35 plus shipping for Keel's The Final Frontier. I just don't want to do it. I have the money. I am not bragging (I am certainly not rich); I just keep holding out hope for a reissue or finding one at a flea market/ yard sale for $5-10. Peace.

No harm in waiting for a cheaper CD. My ADD prohibits me from not being impulsive. That's why I have had to block all CD buying websites from my browsers on all my computers. Smile

I don't have ADD, but I am a cheap b*stard, which keeps me away from places like eBay.

Yeah, but you can get real deals on eBay. I just got Flesh For Lulu's "Long Live The New Flesh" for less than $5 incl. shipping. That's after losing an auction for the same CD that ended up going for $15 PLUS shipping.
