| I think that this year's going to be great for good albums. -Saints Of Los Angeles, Motley Crue -Aerosmith's new album -Metallica's new album -Chinese Democracy, Guns N' Roses (hey, it's gotta come out sooner or later) -Nostradamus, Judas Priest -The Queen + Paul Rodgers album (should be interesting to see PR fronting Queen) Just to name a few. I'm sure I'm missing several. |

| OK, I know I am getting old because I don't even recognize half the bands in some people's lists. I was on another metal forum and reading through the "best albums of 2008 so far..." and this list was given - Quote :
- Some albums I've been enjoying this year...
Aletheian - Dying Vine Reissue Ancestral's part of the Ancestral, Marankorii, Njiqahdda Split Bealiah - Anthology of the Undead Beta Club Field Trip - The Surrogate Console Cannabis Corpse - Tube of the Resinated Decrepit Birth - Diminishing Between Worlds Gouseion - Anhedonia Grave Declaration - The Nightshift Worshiper Hammock - Maybe They Will Sing For Us Tomorrow Lola Flash - 2008 Demo Loma Prieta - Last City Mychildren Mybride - Unbreakable Ocoai - Breatherman Rising Hour - Into The Great Unknown Russian Circles - Station Spitfire - Cult Fiction Timbre - Winter Comes To Wake You Virgin Black - Requiem Fortissimo
I thought Famine was boorring, and a huge disappointment considering how much I loved Embodyment's 1993-1996 demos. I was also disappointed by Portishead's Third, but I've been told I should give that another shot. I am currently looking forward to CDs from Venetian Snares, Sympathy, and David Bazan.
OK, so I recognize TWO names on that list, Virgin Black and Sympathy. Who the heck are the rest of these bands? BLAH! _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

BLAH! It's a bit like that, seems sometimes you feel like your drowning in an over saturation of releases. No matter how gallant Eyesore's attempts are, even he is only scratching the surface with releases. Psst don't tell him that though. | |
