I don't think Metallica have done anything just for the money, EVER! I just think they were a part of something that people liked, TBA. Yes, it's different, but it's still Metallica. Same with Load and Reload, it's different, yet no other band could have recorded those albums. It's not about the money, it's about where they as members were at that point in time. The simply stopped listening to metal, and found other forms of music they liked, and incorporated into the music.

Maybe one song has that kinda flavor.... Spiritual Void but it's more just Sabbath inspired than straight up stoner metal.
