After hearing rave reviews of these guys on both Ultmetal and Kmorg's sites and hearing Slipstream on a Nuclear Blast compilation (came with Into The Light: Twenty Years Nuclear Blast), I decided to pick up something by them. At Best Buy they only had one album so I got it. Imagine my (pleasant) suprise when I got it home and realized it was a best of disc (I didn't look to closely at the cover when I purchased it) which is usually how I like to get introduced to a band. Slipstream is still as good as when I first heard it and the rest of the songs are just as mind-blowingly good. Being a fan of Prog metal, I can't believe I passed these guys up for so long because they are right up there with Dream Theater, Ayreon, Evergrey, and Shadow Gallery. I will have to go through these guy's catalog and I will also keep a close eye on them. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

I pretty much love all of the bands albums. But maybe your should work your way backwards, starting with the bands latest effort.

Great band. I have all the albums, and I would personally recommend you start with Hypothetical.

I have Dead Reckoning and like quite a bit of it. I also have Hypothetical and don't like it. This band is a little to proggy for my tastes.

I'm hoping Damien Wilson does their next album with them. Very cool that he stepped up when they needed a singer. I love his voice!

Great band, though. I wish this greatest hits package had something worthwhile on it for long-time fans. Edited tracks may be exclusive to the release, but they're also frickin' incomplete! How that's a selling point? Haha.

I would start with Extinct Instinct but it's all good. I have to be in the mood for something this proggy but they scratch that itch.

Great band that seems to slip under far too many radars. I didnt discover them until Hypothetical came out, great album by the way.

I dont find them to be overly progressive though, there song writing is a lot more straight forward than say Dream Theatre. Start with the last album and work backwards although some take a few listens before they get their hooks into you, but trust me its worth the effort.

I have Extinct Instinct, and I liked it, but not enough to keep up with their catalogue I guess. Hearing that they've only improved since makes me want to check back in with them.
