From that list I'd go with Malmsteen, but I'm with Brontotex, I chose Uli Roth.

Voted for Eddie Van Halen. Much like Hendrix before him, he re-invented the way people played guitar and started legions of followers.

Unfortunately, these days, he seems to be completely un-hinged.

In that list, I pick Randy Rhoads. But my all time fave is Chris Oliva from Savatage

I can agree with that. Eddie certainly helped revolutionize guitar playing in the late 1970's and early 80's.

The first time I heard Steelers 'Hot on Your Heels'.... absolutley revolutionized the way I thought about guitar.... malmsteen just blew me away....

From that list, definitely Eddie Van Halen.

Overall, I couldn't pick just one... Buckethead, EVH, Marty Friedman... I could go on and on.
