| Schopo for a 15 year old kid I am impressed with the diversity of the bands and genres on your list. I have to say I do like Quiet Riot but Carlos Cavazo is no Jimi Hendrix . | |

Thank you. And I know he's not the best player but I just love that solo to death.

| That solo to Cum On was thrown together, just like the song. No one in the band wanted anything to do with that song. Until it became a huge hit, that is. |

| You just made that list up as you went. No way in hell any man alive can name their top 100 favorite solos. Doesn't matter, that list stinks. The greatest solo ever written and recorded is Skolnik's solo in "Return to Serenity." And that's not on your list! I hope you implode. |

I have a playlist of songs with awesome guitar solos in Windows Media, and I was typing them up here. And it's just opinions, so piss off. :swear:

| Good List Schbopo!
A few fantastic solos from Pink Floyd that would be on my list are:
Comfortably Numb The Fletcher Memorial Home Fat Old Sun
Dave Gilmour is a fantastic guitarist.

You should have made a bass solo list.

| Just 100? I could top that easy (though it wouldn't be in any particular order). Eyesore is right about Return To Serinity though, one of the best (if not THE best) ever. | |

What cd is that on? I did see Skolnick one time live with Stu Hamm. The Ritual. The song is a ballad, but the solo literally gives me goosebumps. It's got a nice solo at the beginning, too, but the main solo is just amazing. It's rare that a solo comes off so emotional, but this one tops that list. |
