| Hey all! If you don't know about them, I want to suggest you to listen some great and true underrated Italian metal bands! (not Rhapsody eh ) , and some in my opinion best albums: - "Labirinth" album "Return to Heaven Denied" - "Domine" album "Dragonlord" - "Necrodeath" album "Into the macabre" - "Nanowar" album "Other Bands Play Nanowar Gay" (this band is just funny with some enchanged covers ) - "Gory Blister" album "Art Bleeds" - "Vanadium" album "On Streets of Danger" (live) - "Fire Trails" album "Third Moon" Other good bands: "Strana Officina", "Death SS", "White Skull", "Vision Divine", and the great "Hyades"! I hope you'll enjoy! Let me now if you liked! |

| I discovered Nanowar a couple years ago. First time I visited their site, I laughed so hard I was crying. Their parodies are hilarious! _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| NECRODEATH, DOMINE, and VANADIUM are great Italian metal bands. VANADIUM is to Italy what TRUST is to France, POKOLGEP to HUNGARY, BARON ROJO to Spain or PICTURE to Holland for exemple. I love many more ITALIAN BANDS. I love RHAPSODY and SKYLARK for exemple and from the 80s bands like CRYING STEEL, BULLDOZER, DRUNKARDS, STRANA OFFICINA, REQUIEM, DEATH SS, REX INFERNI, and a long etc.... | |

| Thunderstorm are my favourite Italian metal band. Sabbath-inspired greatness with obvious NWOBHM influences.
All their albums are great, but 2002's 'Witchhunter Tales' is especially awesome.

| Most of you probably don't care about this, but Italy had some considerably heavy symphonic prog bands in the early 70's, such as Balleto Di Bronzo, Museo Rosenbach, and my fave, Alphataurus. They played epic songs with operatic vocals and considerable use of heavy instrumentation including electric guitars. I often wonder if or how much they influenced some of the modern Italian symphonic metal bands. I really have no idea, but a few of their songs would fit right in if covered now. | |

| There are quite a few good bands coming outta Italy lately...
I interviewed a pretty cool thrash band from Italy for Detritus 'zine about two years ago called "Merendine Atomiche" -- I have their album RAW, it kinda has a COWBOYS era Pantera vibe to it...
ELDRITCH are a pretty decent melodic speed/thrash band too...I have two of their CDs (BLACKENDAY and the one before that, which I can't remember the title of right now for the life of me...) _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

I picked them up on a whim for next to nothing at Tower's going out of business sale based on the covers and the little stickers. They're pretty good. | |

| I just discovered Frozen Tears a couple of days ago, pretty catchy metal in the vein of Judas Priest, they acutally cover a priest song. They have one album that came out in 2004. | |
