Heros in metal

For the younger or older individuals on the forum I was just wondering if you guys have anybody that you look up to or has been a model for you within the music industry. I'm sure everyone has had one or two at some point.

I'd definatly would say the one I admire the most is Steve Rowe. From battleing cancer to spreading the cause of Chistian metal, what is there not to admre.

My hero's would be Bobby Blitz, OZZY, Dio, Bruce Dickinson , Kai Hansen , Yngwie, Joen Lande & Cliff Burton.

I admire the hell outta Bruce Dickinson, Gene Simmons, Kory Clarke of Warrior Soul, Blackie Lawless, and Michael Weikath of Helloween, all for different reasons.

No Heroes but I really admire:

Ted Nugent
Dave Mustaine

DC Cooper

For having a great voice and being a down to earth guy who is a volunteer fireman.

No, no heroes but i like many like GENE SIMMONS or JON MIKL THOR.

Rob Halford and Dio......they live and breathe heavy metal

You mean in addition to being a paid paramedic?

I gave up the hero thing. I can admire a classy guy in music as well as the dude next door who takes care of his family and is a stand up citizen. If musicians can do that, more power to them.
I do admire the ones who overcome adversity like a Steve Rowe.

My biggest hero of metal passed away some years ago. He wasn't well known, but he had a huge impact on my life. His name was Chris Brooks and he was the singer for Holy Saint. You can read more about him on my Holy Saint page.

I'd also list Steve Rowe. He's been a friend of mine for years. I have a lot of respect for him. People slag his music, especially the non-death metal stuff, but I personally love it. It's his music, and no one else's. He's stayed the course and continued to sail the Mortification flag through the best and the absolute worst of times. A true warrior for metal.

There are ton of musicians that have personally inspired me as well. I won't list them all.

I am quite the hero worshipper of Marty Friedman, Paul Gilbert and to a certain extent, Martin Walkyier.

Jason Becker is an inspiration.

I feel like anyone who goes into the music industry and makes a go of it is heroic. Especially in these times.
