Put me in the like 'em group cause I have always been a creed fan. Scott's vocals are not always my top fav, but they were a good band. I also bought Scott's solo slbum, and it was ok, there were some pretty good sngs on it.

What about Creed the Christian band from the 80s (I believe they only had one album-I have it on tape somewhere)? Or am I the only one that knows about them?

Always hated this band. They just struck me as very bland, in terms of appearance and music (and I'm not a fan of Eddie Vedder-style singing either).
BUT... I picked up Weathered during a time I was trying to take more risks on my music buying and I liked it. It's not a great album, but there's some pretty good stuff on it, but I haven't listened to it since the year it came out.
That said, overall, I'm still not a fan of the band and I have no interest in Stapp solo or Alter Bridge.

Alter Bridge sound nothing like Creed. If you like the band Sevendust, i think you would like AB. They don't sound exactly like Sevendust as they have a more straight up rock sound. Here is a song that reminds me of Sevendust..

I don't like Sevendust either, they also fall into the "bland" category as far as I'm concerned.
I've heard the Alter Bridge singles from their first album (more than I care to) and I was never impressed.

Well, at least they're not as bad as Simple Plan. Why that band has three guitarists I'll never know. They don't even need one.

I see the reports saying that a reunion is likely in 2009. This is bad news for me even though i loved Creed. Mark has really blossomed without Scott and the boys from Alter Bridge are making some of the best rock music i heard. There is probably a huge amount of money on the table here, and i wouldn't be surprised if it's because of the time off Mark might have if Myles lands the Zep gig.

It's all about the cash on the table. None of the band has been raking in the cash like they did back in that day as Creed. It would be a nice infusion of cash for the members. I do like Creed, but wouldn't run out to see them play live.

I have always had thoughts about bands with this type of vocalist. A woman I work with assigned a "word" to them. She calls them "nyah-nyah" bands. You know, where the singers always seem to have that really irritating nasally sound, like they're all trying to sound like Eddie Vedder or whoever it was that was responsible for this whole crap vocal sound.
I don't hate these folks. Heck, it's just music. But I can't STAND that vocal style. Listening to it is like french kissing your grandmother with her teeth out.
