well I was reading a certin metal website ( which I LIKE ) and I stumbled with , well , a certain expression like "in my NOT so humble opinion". whoa. what´s the reason for someone who follows a book that says "the lord opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble" to make such statemnt ?
Talking about good Thrash vocals for example, let´s take Russ Anderson from Forbidden. He can do really great Thrash vocals ( ORIGINAL ) and also do great operatic parts , well this is talent , and IMHO doing high piched operatic Thrash vocals is much more difficult than mixing Thrash vocals with GROWLING. that´s it man I highly respect the person I´m referring ,and the site and the love for Metal and music of the person referred here, but I can´t get ego trip. Hope not to get banned from the forum because ím not OFFENDING anyone or at least Its not my intent.
Thanks.

Thank you ze for a wonderful example to the class of non sequitur rhetoric.

of course its your intent to offend. You have been trying to play the martyr since showing up here. If you don't like something Ult said, be a man about it and pm him instead of posting it here.

You make it sound as if Ult had a negative opinion on Russ Anderson. I read nothing of the sort in his reviews. They were quite complimentary of his contributions.

I know I've used the expressions "not so humble opinion" a few times on my site, but it's mostly in jest as people often say, "in my humble opinion" (IMHO). Obviously an opinion on music is just that, an opinion. Whether it's "Humble" or not really doesn't matter, it's still an opinion. However, I thought the jest in "not so humble opinion" was obvious. I guess not.
BTW, love Russ Anderson and Forbidden. Not sure where I had an "ego trip" about him or anyone else for that matter. Sorry if came off that way.

He's referring to you saying not so humble and the particular verse of the Bible he quoted or misquoted. He's hung up on Christianity and the Bible for some reason. If he's no longer a Christian I don't know why he can't let it go.
I am Christian. I mean, I am actually more "Christian" than most people I know and I am following a religion that only teaches love and how to be as CHRIST-LIKE as possible. this is being Christian. This is what I believe now. I´ll start to call the self-titled Protestant Xtians as "evangelicals" now ( yep ) My present belief is "spirita" and I have the personal belief that JC himself was a god that became incarnated to teach people the highest standard of love and morals men can follow. Jesus Christ teachings are all about "peace and love" ( Heh , I could think as Jesus as some kind of hippie , but, anyways ).
Scott, I mean , I didn´t get the "the jest on the "in my NOT so humble opinion" was "obvious". obvious ?
Well I dunno , but frankly , my argument is not about Russ Anderson or anyone , but I mean, sometimes saying "in my NOT so humble opinion" may geive some the idea that such "not so humble" opinion is a little more valuable than other people´s opinions ( on music ) ... I mean , I dunno what´s so "obvious" about the "jest" ( REALLY ), but I apologize for inconvenience. its easy to find the ( uh , oh ) IMNSHO spell on google , and I read it twice on the ( really good ) metal website I am referring
I really like and respect Ultimatum as a band and Scott , but I hope you all get my point

Dude. You've been told several times now. If you have a beef with Scott, send him a PM about it, and I'm sure he'll be happy to discuss it with you privately.
Otherwise, quit riding his ass ...

The "Turn the other cheek" factor was in test here, because I tought I would get banned today for posting such topic , I don´t know if I am being "offensive" on this ( not my intent ) but anyways ... Metal !!! \,,/ AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. that´s it. Metal Rules baby !!!
Its probably more of a translational/regional/dialect/sense of humor thing that just doesn't translate well from one area to another.
You mean the "NOT so humble opinion" ...
Well I don´t wanna PM anoyne , Its like Scott often says its HIS site who am I to advice anyone about anything at all ? I just like singing the fisrt part of Napalm Death song because ... well ... Vanity is Satan´s favorite sin by the way.
But being quite frank on this , the ( uh oh ) IMNSHO expression doesn´t sound like it contains some ... "vanity" ( pride ) it sounds like something containing a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT of pride to me. that´s my personal opinion.
BTW I am not really a fan of Napalm Death´s music , but I like some of their lyrics.
