| Quite simply the most amazing hard rock/rock n' roll/power pop/heavy metal band of the 90's. Fab Beat Angels guitartist Michael Brooks describes them "As if Lemmy sheared off the top of your skull with a rusty chainsaw, and then poured pixie stix on top of your brain." Totally hooky bouncy Cheap Trickish power pop melodies dressed in dirty heavy metal riffs and solos. Heavy Metal coated power pop! Like Hanoi Rocks playing Cheap Trick after listening to AC/DC. The albums Earth Vs. The Wildhearts and P.H.U.Q. are essential for hard rock/metal fans. | |

| I have: S/T Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed PHUQ Riff After Riff Earth Vs The Wildhearts Landmines and Pantomimes Plus Ginger's "Valor Del Corazon" Ginger is one of the best songwriters out there today. When he can keep his act together. Favorite Wildheart song is probably "There's Only One Hell" from Must Be Destroyed. Other faves are: Lake of P.... People that Time Forgot Greetings from Sh---ville Loves---- Vanilla Radio and tons of others. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| What do reckon of the new one, i love it. Their just one of those bands that have been around a while that you know are going to put out quality. Much like that of Clutch, King's X etc. | |

| Actually, the last one I bought was the S/T (the ones with the band's heads on the cover) I didn't like it nearly as much as Riff After Riff or Must Be Destroyed. I find that when the band is on, they are REALLY ON. But when they're off, they are also really off. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Yeah but that's what makes em great, its unpredictable and a bit dangerous. You know that Ginger could probably write one of the greatest rock n' roll songs now. Have you heard the band Terrorvision? | |

| This is an awesome. Terribly overlooked and underrated. I don't have all their albums but I have a couple, which are great. I need to find some of their other stuff. [ | |

| Love the HEARTS....
EARTH VS THE WILDHEARTS is my fave disc by them....
The only thing Ive heard by them and not liked ws "Endess...namesless" and that might had been okay aside fron the horrid whatver the call production o whatever...Was that some sort of experimental thing or what? Awful!!! _________________ "Oh man, I need TV? When I got T Rex"

| Several Wildhearts albums have questionable production. I like Earth vs Wildhearts but when you compare its production to Wildhearts Must Die, it's not even close. My favorite is Riff After Riff because that's what that album is. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

You gotta get on it Smindas, their the greatest UK band of the 90's no one's ever heard of! It shouldn't be to hard to secure a copy of Earth Vs The Wildhearts cheap 2nd hand, although i hear rumours of a reissue. You should listen to the song 'Lovesh*t' off of Earth Vs, Ginger apes the Manic Street Preachers guitar sound. Actually Richey appears in the lyrics for another Wildhearts song 29X the pain. Forget Oasis, Blur, Pulp etc. The Wildhearts, Manic Street Preachers, Suede and Terrorvision were the real britpop of the 90's.

| The newer releases like Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed and Riff After Riff (my fave) can be had from Amazon zShops for $3.20 and $3.40 respectively plus about $3 shipping. A steal IMO. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Agreed. Metal Sludge wouldn't shut up about how great they were years ago, so I finally tried'em out and I was disappointed. I own Riff After Riff and ...Must Be Destroyed. 'Vanilla Radio' is a great song, but I can take a pass on the rest.

| Metal Sludge is an awful site, but having said that their championing of the Wildhearts is probably the only thing they've done right. Get the debut album Earth Vs. The Wildhearts (1993), its their best and easiest to get into. | |

But yeah, I think I will pick up Earth Vs. The Wildhearts as I heard a few more songs on Youtube and liked them quite a bit. Cheers rattpoison! _________________

| Well, I got Earth Vs. The Wildhearts - it's a great album. I've only listened to it once, but it reminds me a lot of the Manics' Generation Terrorists, only heavier. Very cool album, I think I'll be listening to it for a while yet. _________________ | |

| I had one of their albums years ago, but I forget which one it was. Might have been Earth vs the Wildhearts. I remember a friend (and fanboy) told me about them. The way he described them, they were the greatest band to ever grace the planet. Better than everyone. Needless to say, with expectations that lofty, I was disappointed and sold it off. Haven't heard anything since then. | |

Yeah that's the general feeling i got from it. A vibe not unlike the Manics Generation Terrorists, with all those big guitars and hooks but sorta UK 90's savvy. As i said before Ginger cops the guitar opening from the Manics Slash N' Burn for the song Lovesh*t. You know Devin Townsend was in the Wildhearts between 1994-95, i don't think he played on the albums but he played with them live. This is a clip of them playing Reading in 1994 with Devin Townsend (mohawked guy) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLehD44YQJg

| Yeah, actually it was Devin's involvement that sparked my interest in The Wildhearts. Saw a video of him doing Everlone at Reading with the band and it was fantastic. He apparently guested on a few songs afterwards, but was mainly just a tour member.
And yeah, the beginning of Lovesh*t instantly made me think Slash N' Burn. I think that's where the main comparison came from. Anyway, gave it two more listens already and am loving it. Good call, mate. _________________
