A Simple Test

Ehhh... it's cool. There are certain bands that don't do it for me much either.

Personally, I refuse to support Maiden anymore, but that's just me. Never got their latest, but the classic stuff is golden. Nothing beats music for nostalgia.

Why? 'Cause I enjoy their music. Heavy riffs, great songwriting, killer
vocals from either Bruce or Paul, guitar solos, punding bass, etc. etc.
etc. I usually like "Killers" and/or "Piece of Mind" as my favorite.

I got into them early one, when Killers was released. Have been a fan ever since.

Yes, because they were and still are a very special heavy metal band, a band with a lot of great songs, carisma and attitude on and of stage.

Yes I like them. WHy? because of the same reson I like any other band, they are good. Their tunes are awesome. And also I like Paul Di'Anno's singing more then Bruces.

Yes, because they're really good.

What's not to like? With the exeption of when Blaze was in the band.

Yeah I like them, My dad was just playing "Number of the beast" a second ago on guitar hero actually. I am surprised I like them so much considering their mainstream and how popular they are though.

For what it's worth, a friend who played in bands with me during the late 70's and early 80's had an older brother who began working for Maiden during "# of da BEAST" and still does to this very day. I have some unique Maiden shirts and havn't seen them since 83' .....Been listening to the first 5 lps alot... and I mean vinyl.

YES - one of my favorites - probably # 2 after KISS

Why? Because they the music is awesome, Bruce is a great singer (the Dianno albums are great too, but perfer Bruce) and they put on a GREAT live show. Been a fan since TNOTB, they lost me a bit during teh Blaze years, but they got right back on track with BNW.

I think Paul is their best vocalist really.

I like Bruce's and Paul's vocals about equally, but for different reasons.

Me likey Maiden.

To me they were the epitome of guys that hung out and were friends first and foremost (besides the music) and that really appealled to me.............

That's tough to argue with.... so I won't.

Not a huge fan, but I was into the Dianno albums in the day, and I still like them. I missed their prime really (I was more into sports etc.); but Dickinson's "Chemical Wedding" is the best Maiden related product I can think of. I also like Samson "Live at Reading" and Dianno's "Live Killers", both only Maiden related. I've been told "Piece of Mind" is their best, I have it but rarely listen to it for some reason.

But, seriously, YES, I absolutely love Maiden. The reason is that they are great musically and also as innovators; and they also have never (IMHO) really wavered too much in their quality. You can play thier latest album and know it's IM, but it's not a carbon copy of Beast, Piece, or 7th Son. They never bowed to trends or got gimmicky all of a sudden to stay popular.
