Does anyone have this CD or re-recorded Loudness classics? Curious what everyone thinks.

I like it. It gives the songs a modern touch and shows that they are timeless. But it's not something I could listen to everyday.

I wish they wouldn't have downtuned the songs though. I think they would have sounded better in straight E or E flat tuning.

I had it for awhile, but traded it off (in fact, I think SpectreFate got my copy!)... it was OK but the production was terrible, very muddy sounding. It was an interesting primer on some of Loudness' earlier works, which I was mostly unfamiliar with, but not enough to make it a "keeper."

I believe it was originally intended as a bonus disc with their RACING album from a few years ago... why they decided to release ROCKSHOCKS in the US as a stand alone disc instead of just releasing RACING, I dunno.

Because no one in "the biz" has a flipping clue.

America is gay.

Too true, too true.
Did I trade this CD to you Spec? I know I traded it with someone on this board but I can't remember who it was now.

I have not heard it yet, but I was wondering about the Japanese-era songs that were re-recorded. Were they lyrically translated to English or are they still in Japanese?

Still in Japanese, but like the original versions, there are still occasional bits of "Engrish" sung in the choruses and so forth.
