80s metal movies?

So, I'm searching for this: Movies, that were made in the 80s / early 90s, and were somewhat metal, you know, something like Airdheads (94?) and both Wayne's World (92-94?) movies, stuff like that; preferably comedies, not some dramatic stuff or similar

If memory serves, that line was spoken by Vinny Pastore (later to become famous as "Big P**sy" from "The Sopranos"), in one of his earliest (if not THE earliest) acting roles.

What about Rock N Roll Nightmare? Has anyone ever seen that one? I've often wondered if it's worth picking up, I loved Trick Or Treat and it seems to be similar to that...

How many times do you figure you have watched this movie, Eddie?

I too heartedly recommend the aformentioned "River's Edge." Crispin Glover is in fine form, as always.

There aren't too many 80s heavy metal comedies I can think of. As a matter of fact, I'm stumped to even come up with one.

"Rocktober Blood" is my favorite 80s heavy metal flick. It's not on DVD, and hard-to-find, and it's pretty cheesy but I hold a soft spot in my heart for that one. Blows away "Trick or Treat," "Rock n' Roll Nightmare" or any other similarly themed 80s rock n' roll horror flick.

This could be an embarrassing answer but I remember seeing it 3 times in the theater many moons ago. As far as in home enjoyment, umm maybe 10 or 15 times.

The movie is not thought provoking in any way. There's just something identifiable with the main character for me. When this came out I was that metal nerd that got harrassed at school a lot. But that was a long time ago. I like the movie now more for the nastalgia. As I'm getting older I find a lot of enjoyment taking trips down memory lane.

I hope that my username isn't cause for confusion. I'm not so much a fanboy of the movie as I am a fanboy of what that movie represents.

I'm glad somebody else remembers "Rocktober Blood" that and "Trick Or Treat" are my favorites. I got the soundtrack to Rocktober Blood too, great stuff.

I haven't seen them in awhile, but what about the Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and the sequel Bogus Journey.

Some great and not so great movies listed, not from the 80's or 90's, but I have always liked Rockstar. Even though Marky Mark is in it.

How's about Thunder Alley. Leif Garrett and Surgical Steel!!!

The song remains the same is from the seventies but its a classic concert film with the lep on top form

I don't know if it counts but "The Decline of Western Civilization pt 2" was interesting. And of coarse Rivers Edge!
