Since I'm new to the forum I thought I post a quick bio about me.. Not sure if this the right forum or not but here it goes.

39 yrs old former pastor (long story for another time and place). First metal disc ac/dc - Let there be rock bought in the sears music center. 2 months later my folks bought me 'back in black' (dec 1980) I was 13... What a wild ride it's been !! I used to write for a Christian Metal 'zine in the 80's called White Throne. My friend Dave Johnson and I started it. I used to also roadie for the band 'Soldier' here in the bay area. I worked for Rick Martinez their lead guitar player. Still keep in touch with him. I've been to many Christian Metal events back in the 80's Metal Midnight, HIS Festival, Metal Mardi Gras and Cornerstone 2x's 88 & 89.
I was active in the Christian Tape trading underground. Some of which I still have... but the amount of stuff that got thrown out (divorce)

Favorite Bands RUSH, IRON MAIDEN, AC/DC.... y'know all the 80's heavies... plus Riot, Armored Saint, Saxon ect...

Best concert was too many.... !! I've seen a lot of Christian and secular acts.... now it's all just music to me.... glad to be here and hope to make your aquaintence !!

off though. Still have a few left. Would love to see some of those get
put on CD. (Godfear - Know God, Precious Death - Our Stinkin' Demo, Red
Ink - Brutal Recompense & Raw Meat, Final Warning - Figurehead,
Moshketeers - Downward Spiral...)

About SOLDIER, is that the same band that have been on the CALIFORNIA METAL 2 lp and got a cd out some time ago named THE DEFINITIVE COLLECTION 1985-1989???? I realy liked their music. Nice to have an other interesting guy like you on the board. HAIL TO YOU.

Yeah that's the same band. Rick has a new band now called Walk The Sky. Soldier I always thought was much better live than their tapes/cd. The Cal Metal 2 stuff hardly sounded like 'em. Still cool to have.
