Ulysses Siren. They are Bay Area thrash. They released 2 demos back in the 80s and a compilation album (Ulysses Siren - Above The Ashes) in 2003 of the demo songs.
It's an incredible album I believe! Superb catchy fast rythms, amazing solos, complex drumming and an amazing voice with hellish screams!
Check it out and please inform me if you put a review in your site Great site btw!
Cheers

I bought their CD at a record show here and didn't enjoy it.

I remember seeing ads for that CD in some magazines when it was released but never looked into it. I think it was on Crook'D Records but don't quote me.

Great stuff, however I am not as much into it as the others seem to be.

I've heard of them. Keep thinking I've seen their stuff on underground 80's metal comps.....
I know I remember seeing adds for their shows in BAM and flyers at the Omni (oakland) or The Stone (san fran) back in the day. I always thought another heavy metal band. Nothing that stood out. I never got a chance to hear 'em..

i got the cd of their demos on cd "Above The Ashes" and it's a smurfing thrilling Speed/Thrash Metal from Bay ARea. One of the most underated combos from the 80's that nearly didn't get any support in europe. Buy ! Buy ! Buy !
