| What classic album do you think needs to be reissued or remastered?
(Eyesore, did we already do this one? )
I think Twisted Sister's Stay Hungry needs a serious remastering and reissue. I absolutely love the "Still Hungry" re-recording that came out, but the original needs a proper cleaning-up. |

I dont know how to do it, but I bet that we all could get the money together to release this one. (Now I remember when we did this thread). I know I'd like to see it on CD. |

| Anthrax's back catalog with Joey and Neil could use a good re-mastering. When I put them into my mp3 player, they really sound poor compared to other music I have on there. I liked the re-issues they did with the Bush-era 'thrax with the bonus tracks.
Testament could benefit from it as well. And yea, Spectre, we did this topic before.

| ^ YES. I was just saying this a day ago when I was listening to Spreading the Disease. Especially on the song Armed and Dangerous: the beginning part, with the keyboards and clean guitars, is so muffled! Especially Joey's voice. And Among the Living needs it VERY badly, and State of Euphoria, too. And especially Fistful of Metal, the production on that one actually gave me a headache when I first heard it.
Another couple that should be reissued/remastered are Heathen's albums. Breaking the Silence muffles the bass and bass pedal way too much and Victims of Deception is way too quiet, plus you once again can't hear the bass guitar. |

Heathen's first two albums were reissued last year by Metal Mind Productions. I believe they were remastered as well, though I don't have them so I don't know for sure. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| The Battlezone' albums were re-released by Zoom Club Records in 2001 in a 2 disc format (Cessation Of Hostilites).but it would be nice to see them get a proper reissue-each individualy.Especially "Fighting Back" and ""Children Of Madness". |

Man.... you liked the remake of Stay Hungry and you liked my bands cd too? lol thats not saying much... damn lol... Still Hungry was horrible. The only good thing about it was the extra tracks. They remade it because they didnt like how the original sounded. I think the original sounded a gazzilion times better than the new version. By the way I met Dee at a chinese buffet near me. Pretty nice guy.

I thought Still Hungry was pretty darned good, except for "The Price", which I didn't think had as good of a vocal delivery as the original. The production is better. The guitar tone is better. The additional tracks rule. I think most people who like Twisted Sister, but don't like Still Hungry are just so use to the original Stay Hungry that any changes at all affects them in a negative way. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| I thought "Still Hungry" was an interesting listen, but it could never replace the original "Stay Hungry" in my heart of hearts.
That said, "Stay Hungry" is in dire need of a remastering/upgrade. That was one of several albums that, when I upgraded from cassette to CD and listened to the CD the first time, thought to myself, "Wow, it always sounded this bad? I thought my tape was just worn out." _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| lol.... funny thing... i was driving home tonight and i put my ipod on shuffle and guess what Tisted Sister album comes up? yep you guessed it STILL HUNGRY!!! I gave it a listen for a couple minutes and then changed it. I just dont like the production at all and they seemed to play the songs a little slower which bothered me even more. Maybe i'll have to sit and listen to it again one day and see if I change my mind. It wont beat my autographed copy of Stay Hungry though.
What I never got was they reissued all the twisted sister albums with bonus songs except for stay hungry. Maybe because they knew they were going to remake it.... i dunno.....
To get sort of back on topic now... I know they just reissued all the helloween albums up to better than raw with bonus cds, But I would like to hear them remixed. The remixed versions of Keeper of the seven keys, Dr. Stein, and Ride the Sky are awesome!
Some other ones that would be cool but only if there is bonus material: Anthrax- Among The Living Spreading The Disease State Of Euphoria Persistence of Time
Edguy- Kingdom of Madness remixed and remastered. hopefully this will happen one day. I'll even take a remake because they actually sound great when they remake some of their older songs. Like they did with Savage Poetry.
