I think the names kinda dumb, but the music is decent enough. Aren't some of the members from other bands? I looked at the members on the myspace page but didn't recognize any off the bat. I seem to remember a story, probably on Blabbermouth, talking about Pitts vs Preps, featuring so and so, formerly of ______.

me likey! I am getting more and more hope for this new generation every day. We, in Minneapolis, have a great old crossover scene developing, plus ALOT of 80's ahir metal band consisting of 22 year old with all the chops and lifestyle. It is really reguvinizing on this old fart that had given up on new music!

Btw, if any of you are with an couple hundred miles of the Twin Cities, next Friday Chainsaw Caine is playing his last show ever! With special guest from the past! It has leaked that most of Slave Raider will be there. End of an era, as the 'Saw has been gigin' non-stop, here in the metro and around the midwest for over 25 years. Actually, I will stat a whole new thread on this.

Pitts vs. Preps doesn't seem like a "metal" band name - it sounds more like a screamo band.

I don't think they sound like they are from 1984 though.

Yea, I could see that. A buncha skinny dudes with guy-liner, tight Hot Topic tee's and hip hugger jeans looking all mopey. But don't let the name fool you. Take a listen and you'll see they're better than the moniker implies.

I said that because the singer Kyle is a huge Trouble fan and i can hear a Psalm 9 influence in their music hince the '84 reference.

As far as the name i think that it's some kind of inside joke with the band or something. The music to me is like a perfect mix of... Armored Saint, Trouble, Judas Priest and (Kill 'em All era) Metallica.
