I like both Pentagram's. The USA doom one and the Black thrash one from Chile! Both are excellent bands!

Yup. I think they had to change it for legal reasons and use Mezarkabul outside of Turkey. I think it translates into "invitation to the grave" or something like that.

I knew I recognized the song in that first video...it's kind of Doomy Power Metal ala Tad Morose...

Bump for Pentagram news...
A documentary of the band and crack-head lead singer is in select theaters now...

I would LOVE to see that...hopefully it'll end up on Netflix...
I imagine it would. I can't see this getting much love in theaters. DVD sales and Netflix are gonna get more fans attention with a release like this.

So for a novice such as myself, where would be a good place to start if I wanted to check out some Pentagram? Looks like they've got a few different comps out there and a bunch of albums.
Where's the best place to get a taste?

I only have the most recent album "Last Rites" and I like it, it has the classic tandem of Leibling and Victor Griffin (Place of Skulls). Worth checking out.

Time to wake up an old thread. Did anyone ever get around to watching the documentary? It ended up being on HBO about a month ago. I DVR'd it but I haven't felt like watching it until today. I never even knew about the movie until I was just looking up other stuff and saw it was on and figured maybe I should check it out and I'm glad I did. It was really really good and I recommend everyone to watch it. Its on netflix. I never knew this guy was so messed up. Its a shame he seems like a really nice guy, obviously things work out for him and he cleans himself up. that could have changed by now tho haha. Anyway do yourself a favor and watch it. I actually think it was better than the Anvil movie.
