wow that is a shock, i didn't think you'd even know who Metanoia was. i second the recommendation. i have Don't Walk Dead & Time To Die. both are extremely brutal christian death metal albums.

I've knew of them pretty early on because of Steve Rowe who hooked me
up with some demo material. I bought In Darkness of In Light as a new
release. It's still my favorite of the three Metanoia releases. I
wouldn't say it's more melodic, but I'd say it has more thrash and
classic metal influences.

i just listened to a bunch of sound clips of IMPENDING DOOM - NDR.....MELTED MY FACE OFF!!! I'm gettin that cd next.

WTH?! Can't find any Metanoia, I'll have to look some more.

Loving all things Morty in the 90's and reading Heaven's Metal is how I came to know Metanioa!

In Darkness or in Light is the only one I really like...and I like it tons! Torn by dogs!!

I believe that Morbid Angel album you are referring to is really titled Domination.

DOH! I knew that! Love that album.

inho the best death metal album ever is Morbid Angel's Blessed Are The Sick. the best Death album is Leprosy.

i mean the band Death. their first five albums have been released again on vinyl and i would like to pick one up

in that case, stick with the first 4. Human was a little more technical than the other 3 but still outstanding. i always did prefer early traditional Death, as opposed to the more progressive later years.

thats good then becuase its only the first five that shave been done. i quite like technical stuff so maybe human and its also got a cool cover

My favorite out of the three is Symbolic! It kicks ass.

My favorite Death album is "Spiritual Healing" but they're ALL good!

I just scored a copy of IMPENDING DOOM - Nailed. Dead. Risen! Can't wait for it to get here!

And radrockers does have Metanoia! So I definately want to check them out.

I know I've mentioned these guys on another thread, but for the benefit of the newer guys I'll do so again: Daath, they mix old school death metal with progressive and slight industrial elements (keyboards, though not so much as to overshadow the guitars). Their sophmore album, The Hinders, is on my top 20 list of the year.
