I've heard they are not as good as their lineup would imply.

I'm listening to this today and it sounds pretty good to me. James really sounds like Rob Halford on this one. Who is Juan Garcia? The name rings a bell, but I can't remember who that is. And while it certainly ain't Megadeth, I'd venture to say this is one of the better releases that Ellefson has played on since parting with MegaDave. He's been on some real clunkers.

Was in Agent Steel too.

That line up is from the second album, the first line up was

Mike Vescera - Vocals (Malmsteen, Reign of Terror)
Peter Scheithauer - Guitar
Mike Duda - Bass (WASP)
Seth Howland - Drums (WASP)

I personally think that line up's album "Killing Machine" was way better.

Ahhh yea. Agent Steel. I knew I recognized it from somewhere. I didn't know this was a 2nd release. I assumed it was their debut album. The 1st one's good you say?

Not "was", IS the guitarist for Agent Steel. He's also reformed Evil Dead, and is in the new line-up of the reformed Detente and a punk band that I can't remember the name of as well.

Just threw on a random disc and it turned out to be this one. Holy crap!!! Blew me away!! Best thing I have listened to so far this year.

And Rivera is totally on par with Halford here. Might be his best work ever.

Anyone else?

Helstar never really clicked with me, but I like James Rivera and this album.
