| Anybody a fan or have even heard of this high quality U.S. power metal band? I first heard them on Limb's Louder Than The Dragon compilation and later got Up From The Ashes. Listening to it right now and I forgot how good the music is especially the solos. This album is the only one I have from them but from what I gather from NLTM the other ones are pretty good as well. Favortie tracks: Up From The Ashes, Power And The Glory, Sleepy Hollow, Vampyre, and The 13th Warrior. The rest of the songs are good also. The only slight complaint I have is the vocals which at times seem a tad out of tune. The vocalist is not the worst, not by a LOOONG shot, but definatly not the highlight of the music IMO. | |

Your right on that account. Gothic Knights aren't doing anything groundbreaking, but lets face it if a power metal fan is looking for groundbreaking music in every release, they are going to be SORELY disappointed. For me I love power metal so much that if it is done well (catchy hooks and plenty of melody) I like it. As for origionallity, I welcome it when it's present, but it is LOW on my priority list. As I said I've only heard Up From The Ashes but will probably get other releases in the future.

| I had a friend who was totally over the moon for this band in the late 90s, he made me a tape of one of their albums but I never thought it was any great shakes. OK stuff but I never went out hunting for the CD. Of course this was during the Great Power Metal Boom of the late 90s and maybe by that time I'd burned myself out on the whole thing because there were so many new bands coming up that I couldn't keep up anymore. Perhaps I should give them another chance. | |

Up From The Ashes is a good start IMO, as for their older stuff I have no clue. Now that they are on Limb records, the newer stuff is more readily availiable these days.

| I love "Kingdom of the Knights". I think it's a great true metal disc. The songs are catchy and the vocalist is excellent IMHO. "Up from the Ashes" was a big disappointment for me. | |

| I've heard of them, but never heard them. I love power metal though, so perhaps I should look into them. |
