Maybe a slightly morbid topic, but I thought it might be interesting:
A couple of nights ago a buddy and I were reminiscing about past concerts and we suddenly realized how many times we heard ourselves say, "Yea, sucks that (name of musician) died, they were a great band" during the conversation. So I started tallying them up and... damn, I saw a lot of now-dead dudes over the years. Time marches on, indeed.
So how many musicians/artists have you seen who have since moved beyond the mortal plane? List'em here.
Off the top of my head, I've seen:
Malcolm Young Eric Carr Joey, DeeDee, and Johnny Ramone Dave Holland (Judas Priest drummer) Criss Oliva Mike Howe Midnight (Crimson Glory singer) Peter Steele Keith Alexander (ex-Carnivore guitarist/Dee Snider's SMFs) Jeff La Bar (Cinderella) Nick Menza (Megadeth) Pete McClanahan (Warrior Soul bassist) Lemmy, Fast Eddie, Wurzel, Philthy Taylor Jim Durkin Tim Kelly Eric Wagner Richard Brunelle A.J. Pero Randy Castillo Kirk Arrington Jack Russell

The above posts reminded me that I've also seen Jim Durkin, Tim Kelly, and Eric Wagner so I added 'em to my list.
I also remembered Richard Brunelle (former Morbid Angel guitarist).

I’m convinced many musicians die before other - regular people. It has to take a toll on the human body. Has to. Was fun reading the names. Many greats. I did see Nazareth in concert. Front row. So I’ll add Dan M.

I realize now that I've seen Randy Castillo and A.J. Pero too -- Castillo with a short lived band called "Red Square Black" with a young John 5 (opening for Testament in 1994) and Pero when he sat in for a few songs with Dee Snider's SMFs.
