Listened to it earlier. So good! The guy is brilliant. Still sounds amazing—that scream!—and his songs are still brilliant. His last solo album was killer as well.

It is really good. Nice and heavy. I remember not liking Revolution and I've never heard Fear No Evil but I'll have to go back and check them out.

Unexpected music DVD find in Dollar Tree last night:

Ace Frehley - Behind the Player (2009)

...this is some kind of instructional/promotional DVD Ace released around the time of his Anomaly comeback album, and it's mostly pointless.

Features include two "play along" guitar lessons for "Shock Me" and "Cold Gin" (which might have been interesting if I played guitar, but I don't), a couple of live "jam sessions" (without vocals) of the same songs with George Lynch, Matt Sorum, and john 5, and an "interview" with Ace about his career, i.e. stuff that even casual fans know by heart.

For a buck I'm not gonna complain too much, but if I'd paid $20 for this when it was new I probably would've wanted my money back

Revolution isn't great, but it has one of my favorite Slaughter tunes: "Heat of the Moment." Arguably their worst (though for me that's The Wild Life), but still enjoyable. Just a bit different for them.

Fear No Evil is fantastic. Probably their heaviest and most "metal" album.
