I bought one of their albums after hearing a song, and I was like, "Uh...this is country music." No thanks!

The earlier albums are more Southern rock than country but there's definitely a country "twang" to their sound.  The later ones started drifting a little too close to country for my tastes too which is why I was curious about this latest one.
