So, I am a Twin Towns Legend [in my own mind]. These are my two GO-TO tunes. The first blows em away - Standing O for Uncle Sax!!!! For a song no one has ever heard. The second, weather it be at 6:30 or 2am? Drives the girlies out to the sidewalk sale. Either way? Saxy Wins!!!!!
So....slow....sexy....build up....IN YO FACE!!!!!!
[you must pay me now....]
And, my sex appeal drives out the hotties, the blue-hairs, the underage, the cougars, into the parking lot where there is a gaggle of bikers with dumb pickup lines and cool bikes. Yes - Free drinks all because Saxy gets onstage and pours his heart out on this simple ditty.... love the player, sons.
Enjoy this page outta my new memoirs......

Nope, never done it and never will. But if I had to (at gunpoint mind you) I know immediately what song I'd go to. Elton John's "Your Song". Not only do I love the song and know all the words but it falls right into my vocal range; I'd kill that song on karaoke.
Don't laugh; I played trumpet for 15 years and sang in various school and church choirs for about the same so I've been "in" music (besides just listening to it) for decades.

Only ever did it once. It was Be Quick Or Be Dead. I think it's safe to say I was better than Bruce Dickinson. I was amazing ...and heavily intoxicated. So maybe I only imagined being great? Luckily, no recording of it exists, so we can never know for sure.

"Butt Trumpet", Toho? Did someone alter your post or are you a true Missourian???? Ok, I altered Toho's post to make myself laugh. You all can alter my posts to make me look less cool than I am...But......hmmmmm.....It would take a helluva lot of alterations to get me to you level of coolness. I only altered Toho's post to bring him down to my level. Another 3 years and I will catch up. You in my sites, Toho.

I like Butt Trumpet:
But I guess that will teach me not to post a serious reply to a Saxon post.

It’s been a few years, but back in my drinking bar-hopping days, I had no problem getting up on stage for a tune or 2. Some songs I recall singing...
House of the Rising Sun-The Animals Summer Wind-Sinatra King Tut-Steve Martin Paranoid-Sabbath Spirit in the Sky-Norman Greenbaum After the Lovin-Engelbert Whatshisdink Islands in the Stream-Kenny and Dolly I Walk the Line-Johnny Cash
There’s some others I can’t remember anymore. When we first started dating, I was out with my future wife and a bunch of her friends that didn’t really know me yet. I sang “Spirit in the Sky” for her cause she was a catholic school teacher and that was the coolest spiritual song I knew.
The night I sang the Johnny Cash song was at a bar in Los Angeles and I meet the principal Mr. Belding from “Saved by the Bell”. He was there and sang Billy Joel’s “Piano Man”.

MG!!!!! A man after my own heart.
TOHO!!!!! Yeah. We are never too old to learn. And, yes. That is the Butt Trumpet that made my brain spiral out of control and alter your post. I dunno. Good? Bad? Indifferent? ....black-hearted evil spawned from the pit of Hades somewhere in northern Finland with the brethern of Bathory....

You don't get much love at a crowded bar waiting their turn to sing their song ! Ha ha I did AC DC " Stiff Upper Lip " a few times. This was a while ago. I'm a good singer too. " Will It Go Round In Circles " - " Cherokee Nation " I thought it was kinda fun - watching everyone. Not fun as the night wore on and on and on * hic *

It's been years since I was drunk enough to do karaoke but I was known to do Kiss' "Rock & Roll All Nite" occasionally back in the day.

Honestly, I have never done it. I would probably do War Pigs or something by Ozzy as I think I could pull that off. Oh, and, btw, "Don't Pay the Ferryman" is an awesome tune!

Who sang that again? Styx? Billy Squier's Piper? Blackjack? Oh, that's right. The singer from Forbidden was in a secular/capitalist/religious band. Russ Anderson, right?
