Live Metallica version of am I evil

Metallica seem to be too lazy to play the full version of Am I Evil and play a dull short version of the song.

Way back when - that was thee first song I heard from Metallica.
I was devastated, as a young person, to find out it wasn't their song.
I didn't hear the original till decades later. Original is better. Ha !
I don't like - at all - when bands - in concert - do these song melodies - in one song.
I think ZEP did it once - "The Hunter" - " If You're going to San Fran " but they were masters.
There's just something pure - dreamy - and powerful -
when a song is performed from the very beginning to to glorious end.
To see a short version of " Am I Evil " - in concert - is blasphemous !

As far I know, they have played it live for a long time. I got a few boots from the late '80's and early '90's where they play it. I always figured they think they are spreading the word for Diamond Head. It's been a minute since I have seen them in concert, so I didn't know they were doing a shortened version. I know the intro is a bit long and repetitive, but I have always felt it was a perfect encore song because of that.
