Locomotive Records has set a November 6, 2007 North American release date for the "Bang Your Head!!! 2006" two-DVD set, featuring performances by IN FLAMES, DEATH ANGEL, RAVEN, HELLOWEEN, JON OLIVA'S PAIN and ARMORED SAINT, among many others. In addition to 34 songs that were filmed during last year's Bang Your Head!!! festival (which took place June 23-24, 2006 in Balingen, Germany), the two-disc set includes backstage movies, galleries and a special booklet. Its a shame all those metal bands had to be there.

Yeah, and when RIK EMMETT was playing all those TRIUMPH songs most of the people, without any respect to him just left to see a football match (WORLDCUP, germany was playing at that time). Sad but true lol. I have been to BANG YOUR HEAD 2003 and that have been one of the best festivals in my life.

Europeans have the best luck with festivals. All we have in America is crappy Ozzfest and an occasional Polka-fest.

It's true....our metal fests are few and far between....

It seems like the European fests are constant and top knotch!

And some real metal festivals too, no??? The problem is maybe that N. America is so big that you have to travel very very much to see one of those festivals. I remember reading some cool stuff about increible festivals in the USA but dont rmember any name right now.

True, travel distance is massive so we may have a lot - they're just so far away you end up being lucky to see one...

Not bad, not bad but some of the i will see them together with VENOM, the 1º of december in the south of spain(near granada), like LIZZY BORDEN, and GRAVE DIGGER for exemple. I would love to see BREAKER, a underrated US METAL band that i love. I saw ONSLAUGHT two years ago, and i will see TANKARD next week with OBSCURE and SODOM.

The only two from that list that I'd like to see and I haven't seen before are Onslaught (they were confirmed to headline a certain festival last year, but had to cancel due to terrorist acts) and Lizzy Borden (well ), and it would be cool to see Tankard, Saxon, Grave Digger, Agent Steel of course and Rage (even though they were boring when I saw them ) again

I'm sure there'll be plenty more!

USA has Prog Power and Gigantour, so it's not all bad. Besides, you get all the Christian metal bands playing retro events!

Sounds like a good DVD set.
