So the new album has been out for a few days now. Anyone got it yet? I am loving the samples streaming. Will include it in my next Amazon order for sure :

Didn’t even realize they had a new one out. Man I’m way behind! Songs sound good though.

I think I'm one of the few metalheads that never really cared for this band much. I like a handful of songs, but overall I never got why they are so revered. The new songs are decent, but nothing that makes me wanna break out the wallet.

Because Lars 'n' James sez so, that's why!
But seriously, yeah, I kinda feel the same way. Like most people of (ahem) a certain age, I discovered D.H. via Metallica's covers of their songs. I have the Behold the Beginning D.H. compilation that Metal Blade put out back in the day and I like it fine, but I've never felt particularly compelled to seek out more from them.
Side note: I swear that Brian Tatler from Diamond Head appears in at least half of those so-called "unauthorized" metal documentaries that you can stream on Amazon Prime. Doesn't matter if it's about Metallica, Iron Maiden, the NWOBHM, Motorhead, blah blah blah, Brian's almost always in there somewhere.

Same. I never understood the love for them. They are decent enough, I guess. Nothing from them ever blew me away, though. I don't mind the odd song from them here or there, but on the whole they leave me feeling very "meh".

Hey Gil. If I remember correctly, you live in Lebanon, right? Do they have Amazon delivery drivers or Amazon drones over there? Or is it still just regular post? Just curious.

I have that same CD, plus one called Death and Progress. I will listen to behold the beginning once in a while, but that other one is very bad imo. Metallica is the only reason why I ever heard of them, and like their covers better than the originals.

Behold The Beginning and Death And Progress are probably the worst places to start with Diamond Head. If only someone wrote two blog posts about making sense of Diamond Head's CD releases. Oh wait, somebody did! Me!

If you only own one Diamond Head release, make it Lightning To The Nations aka The White Album. It's the album that influenced Metallica and it great in its own right.

I've heard it, but don't own it. It's decent, but still didn't do much for me.

Hey Uncle. Just regular post and it takes time for the order to reach me. 3 to 4 weeks on average.
There are however a few companies who serve as intermediates in buying stuff from amazon and ebay and delivering them to the client.
A bit expensive though but much faster.
