Raven - Over The Top! The Neat Albums (box set)

Coming from Cherry Red Records in the UK this June. Raven's first three studio albums for Neat Records (Rock Until You Drop, Wiped Out and All For One) plus the Live At The Inferno live album, all together in a handy dandy little box set.

I finally got Wiped Out on CD to complete my Raven discography last year, so I have no need for this set but I thought some of y'all might find it useful.

On the "Raven Lunatics Fan Club" page on Facebook, John Gallagher himself called this set "a repackage of the latest repackages," for whatever that's worth.

I will skip this one. But it is still an interesting idea for those looking to complete their Raven collection.

I have all those, but only two on CD, and the other two on vinyl. Might pick it up if it's cheaper to buy that, than the two individual cds I need.

Now that's a great collection and well worth buying - especially considering that these first three Raven albums go in and out of print frequently and become very expensive.

Everyone who doesn't have them, should act now.

I know it took me forever to find those before they got reissued. Who knows when they'll be impossible to find on CD again.

Yep, it took me for-damn-ever to finally get Wiped Out on CD, fortunately Dissonance Prod's re-issued it last year.

I bought the first "repackages" last year and love them. So, it's a pass for me, too. I also have both "Rock" and the "Live at the Inferno" album on vinyl. I would have been interested if this was on record. But, cool for the Raven guys nonetheless. Thanks for the info, FF.

All I need is "Glow" and "Architect of Fear" to finish the discography. Both are now on the bay in the $25 range, so they ain't cheap, but they are affordable. I actually had better luck finding Raven albums faster on vinyl than on disc the last few years. Go figure.

I'm very curious about the packaging as I am not sure what a "4 cd clamshell" might be?

I do like all the bonus tracks on the discs though and as started above if there is any inserts or???

20 pounds seems affordable enough.

Speaking of Raven, does any of you guys own the Mind Over Metal compilation released by Metal Hammer? I was lucky to find this used for around 2 euros. Excellent best of.

Thanks I did see that with another interesting release they did a 9 cd REO Speedwagon box set. Which too seemed cheap enough.

Has anyone bought any of these? Are they worthy?

...If the Neat Records box set isn't enough vintage Raven repackaging for you, the band just announced via their official FB page that Wounded Bird Records will be reissuing all four of their long-OOP Atlantic Records era albums (Stay Hard, The Pack Is Back, the MAD EP, and Life's A Bitch) as a 2-CD set entitled "RAVEN: The Complete Atlantic Recordings" on June 7th.

The Atlantic-era Ravens have been out of print on CD (in the U.S., at least) since the Mayhem/Fierce reissues of the late '90s and an if-you-blinked-you-missed-it Wounded Bird reissue of Pack Is Back from the early '00s, so if you're missing any of 'em, jump on this ASAP.

That is very good news. I need to buy those reissues.

Y'now, if the price is right I will get that as I don't like taking the "originals" out of the house and into the car where they can get damaged.

I always take the cds into the car and never faced any problem. Of course i always park underground so there is no exposition to the sun during the day. As long as you avoid the sun, they should be fine.

I may have to grab this, I have a bootleg version of 'The Pack is Back' and would like to own the rest on CD
