Not!
Sadly, this irrefutable real-time footage is still not good enough to convince a crazy brain...

I dunno, TZ, wide angle lens and all...
In all honest I'm gonna get baked off my ass later and watch that entire video. That's insane. The internet can be really cool sometimes.

A Fish Eye lens and BOOM , you have a faked curvature . Well , let us see a footage without suck lens and see what appears on screen ...

This crew worked for 7 years to reach the ... obvious ... conclusion that the surface of water never bends , it´s always FLAT unless when in very minute amounts where surface tension is stronger than gravity (which exists , but it´s NOT Newton´s model for sure) . Lakes are FLAT , Seas are Flat . Salt Flats are Flat . Water surface NEVER bends , so Earth is certainly flat .

Rent a boat and prove it. Sail as far as you can and then come back and report to us. Don’t forget to take pictures (non fish lens).

So there was a Flat Earthers convention in Dallas, Texas recently. Was anthrax_fan in attendance?
He would have attended but when the boat from Brazil he was on sailed the wrong way and went off the edge of the Earth.
He said he was in Australia once when I was trying to give him an astronomy lesson. Must have moved recently.

You mean that's not him on the left????
That stylin' top hat and t-shirt fashion ensemble gives him an air of authority.

That's very cool! It looks like they launched it from Gulf Coast State College. There is an FSU Campus at this location (there are two colleges) and my daughter will attend FSU in the fall if all goes well. I'll watch it all now and see if I can see our house!

I wasn't sure where to put this and I didn't want to start yet another "science thread" so I'll just tack it on here.
This is one of the most bizarre (and scary) science stories I've ever read:
I like the part about using these things inside a human body to deliver medicine. Yeah right, until they start mutating your cells to become like them and turn you into some kind of android mutant. Seriously, something about this sentence chills me to the bone:
Quote :
"They're neither a traditional robot nor a known species of animal. It's a new class of artifact: a living, programmable organism."
Haven't we all seen this movie?

Yeah that shits crazy! I'm so glad I've lived longer than I have left to live, the future is looking to be one crazy fucked up world.

After watching some of it (it is very long) I never did see our house but I did recognize a lot of buildings before the balloon got too high.

Fish Eye lens can create a "fake" curve . still , spheres are curved dot by dot (geometric definition of an Sphere) so there's no "invisible" curvature .

LMFAO!!!! That video has the earth curving in the wrong direction. Its a fake, either the lens is some sort of trick lens, or its some type of editing trick done. Please keep them coming, this is hilarious.

Oh yeah , concordes used to fly between 50000 and 59000 feet high .
BOTH these would be observable on the window if the Earth was a ball : Horizon curved and horizon seen on smaller heights on the window as the plane ascended . None of the 2 are observed on these videos :
