You can actually see the curve of the horizon just looking from a distance at the beach. Not to mention that almost every object in space is circular... the moon, planets, stars.

And how can you sail around the world without turning around? A flat earth would require a dropping off point like a table or waterfall.

I think this guy is one of the whack jobs though. It's really sad how these flat earthers are so dense to believe this crap. I mean, let's say they are right, why would you need to hide it? What does the government or world powers gain by making this big elaborate lie about the earth? Everyone with a half a brain can figure out the earth is a sphere, I almost feel sorry for these guys believing in this so called theory.

I would genuinely like to sit down face-to-face with a flat-earther proponent and have a logical, rational discussion with them. I have SO many questions that I'd love to have them answer.

Unfortunately, the words "logical", "rational" and "discussion" rarely, if ever, appear in their arguments.

That's just because most of them are trolling you. They don't really believe it. They just enjoy your reaction.

It goes against logic and takes a major stretch of the imagination to believe that every observable attribute the earth has is a elaborate illusion. It's a fantasy to think that since ancient times, anyone had the ability to trick our eyes with magic or alien technology to fool us (for some deceptive unknown reason). Can't believe how gullible some conspiracy minded people are. It's like they drop acid and read sci-fi novels all day.
