"Your views on Hardwired to Self Destrcut" , 2 years later ...

I LOVE this album . Score : 8,8 out of 10 (to me) . Metallica went back to their AJFA and Black Album r00ts again and released a MONSTER of a classic , best album of 2016 for sure .

Still did not hear it.

I almost bought it once.

My views on it now are pretty much the same as they were in 2016...

(shrugs) Meh, it's okay I guess. It gets an occasional spin every now n' then.

2 years later and I still haven't heard it.

It's good . It might get the occasional spin.

My opinion is pretty much the same as when I bought it new. It didn't need to be 2 discs. I would trim off a few songs from each disc and have one solid album.

I like it but when I reach for Metallica (rare) it's not one I'll go for.

It convinced me that Lars needs to go. Some of the worst metal drumming I've ever heard, next to Possessed.

I agree with MG, some good songs but bloated.

I like it a lot, but it is pretty long, so I rarely listen to the entire thing straight through.

I like it though I have not listened to it in months. I thought that it was a tad less in stature than Death Magnetic.

I think it’s good for the band they are now...

It obviously doesn’t hold a candle to their classic albums. But it’s definitely a lot better than their Load and St Anger crap.

Heard one so g on the radio when it came out, and thought it sucked. Haven't bothered with the rest of it.

Never heard it. Don’t plan on hearing it. When I wanna hear Metallica I listen to one of their first 4 albums.

It is an occasional spinner. A very good return to form.

(IMHDO) Metallica had their time as a creative recording artist and it isn't coming back.

Overkill, Death Angel, and Megadeth are still cranking out thrash that isn't forced or contrived.

Good point. The last 2-3 from each of those bands have been great. Overkill has been exceptional.

I like it and play it every couple of months. There is half filler that I skip through. And it does not gel perfectly. But a 7/10 from this pompous elitist should been see as pretty damn good.

Six good songs. The rest is forgettable and I find Hetfield's vocals irritating on many of the tracks. It's certainly their best since at least the Black Album.

2 decent songs and the rest of it is pure garbage!!

Woah. I kinda liked the whole shebang. Y'all are brutal!

At worst I would call it unmemorable. Not that I expected to be humming every song after the first spin anyway...

I find Overkill are forcing what they are doing. The last few albums have really been missing the mark to me. I was never a big overkill fan either so maybe I am just hearing what I have always thought about their stuff being forced. Death Angel and Megadeth aren't doing anything new but its solid.
