The emergence of the Oliva Brothers, that is if you didn't grow up in the Tampa area or hit that particular circuit during spring break in that time.
I don't own any of the reissue CDS, so they are not part of the poll.  If anyone wants to chime in on those other tunes, go for it.  Always loved the title track live back in the day, but lately my choice is probably, Out In The Streets.

The whole album is stellar but I'll have to go with the excellent title track.

Sirens. But as 007 said, the entire album smokes .

I love Savatage and that title track is one of their best songs ever. A lot of the 'Tage trademarks like Jon's "ah, ah, aaahhh" screams were first introduced to the world here. And of course it has a massive riff, and some tasty intricate guitar work by Criss.

Sirens was the first Savatage song I ever heard, and still my favorite. That song got just about all my friends into Savatage thanks to my killer stereo I had back then.

Super album. I picked "Sirens" as well, but the whole album is killer.

The first 3 songs are top-notch. After that it gets very spotty IMHO.

Holocaust!!

I went with the title track, but "Holocaust" is an extremely close second.

I think I'd have to pick Sirens. It's not just one of their best songs, but one of the best metal songs ever written.

I am assuming that the bonus tracks on the reissues are underwhelming since nobody commented.

I have the Silver Anniversary Edition and the bonuses are surprisingly good. I especially love the track Living On The Edge of Time a lot. Jon Oliva's Pain re-recorded it for their Festival CD.

The other bonuses are a slow vocal-driven track called Target which is pretty powerful and could have fit on one of the Gutter Ballet/Streets era CDs, and a hidden track (track #99 on the CD) which I think is called Island of the Kings. It's a short acoustic instrumental.

That Holocaust video a couple of posts above is awesome.

Sirens > I Believe > Holocaust. These are all fairly bunched up.
