Jellyfish - Bellybutton

Great album.

I would have:

Metallica - St. Anger
2wo - Voyeurs
Opeth - (any)
Geoff Tate - solo album
(any black metal album)

These albums would inspire me to leave the island ASAP and to forge a raft from palm leaves and coconut husks.  With some great thrash on a loop, I would get far to comfortable in the sun there.

Awesome!!! And you don't even need the professor to make a radio out of a coconut. Laughing

I am still thinking of mine. 5 is hard to pare it down to.

This is a bit harder than I thought, because thinking about it - I think variety is more important than just picking the top 5 records.

I think I'd want 1 aggressive thrash album, 1 noodly prog album, 1 melodic pop metal album, 1 dragonslaying true metal album etc.

I think I've got most of this now:

Testament - Practice What You Preach
For those thrash metal moods. And there's enough technical guitar work to keep it interesting even after many, many repeated listens.

Axxis - Paradise in Flames
This can be the pop metal record, with a lot of variety, and mixed male and female vocals. If I happen to salvage or find a barrel of rum, I need an album like this to sing along to.

Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
I will need a Sabbath record and a Dio record. This covers a lot of ground. And it's an all-time top 5 album for me. Don't really need to think about this.

Savatage - Wake of Magellan
Proggy and pompous but still Savatage. Goes with the theme here: it covers a lot of ground. And it literally goes with the maritime theme of being stranded on a desert island.

I need one more, and as always the last one is the hardest to pick. I will come back to this thread.

1. Guns n Roses - Appetite for Destruction
2. Megadeth - So Far, So Good...So What
3. Motorhead - Ace of Spades (or maybe Bomber)
4. Metallica - Master of Puppets
5. Aerosmith - Toys in the Attic

I think I've come to the conclusion my fifth disc will not be heavy metal. Probably something way, way different. Like, not even electric guitars. Classical music. A symphony. Or an electronic album. I don't know, Kraftwerk or something.

I just know there will be a moment when I will want something like that.
