Fifth Angel's Time Will Tell

I assume most people are acquainted with these guys here, but I imagine most of the attention gets focused on their first album (which is indisputably badass). That's unfair cos their second one is awesome too, embracing more of a Dokken-esque approach to their earlier USPM sound.

How do you guys feel about it?

Awesome band. Love their albums. Picked them up years ago on amazon.

I like this album a lot. I still think their first one is the best.

I love this album...always have. Yeah, the first one gets more attention but I have vivid memories of crankin' this on cassette back in the day. A bit more glammy than the first, I think it's just as powerful a release. I love the UFO cover and We Rule and Seven Hours and the opener, Cathedral is great as well. Still can't believe these guys couldn't hold it together and split 2 albums into a 6 album deal. I have both of their albums on cassette and two versions each on disc (originals and re release).

As if on cue, Metal Blade is reissuing both Fifth Angel albums:

Metal Blade Records will reissue the first two album from melodic heavy metal band Fifth Angel.

Fifth Angel released their self-titled debut album in 1986, the successor Time Will Tell was released in 1989. Both albums have been out of print for a while and will get a luxury treatment for these reissues. Expect the following on release date, May 18th.

One of my all time faves, together with Leatherwolf's Street Ready, which is kind of similar. Wish this sound would've been more popular, and more bands followed it.

I have the Shrapnel Records version of the first album. Didn't it get remixed when Epic/CBS  released it?

I got to pick those up.

Oooh, I might try to get my hands on one of those reissues on vinyl. I bet the artwork would be badass that large. (I have the first one on cassette, and the Time Will Tell on mp3).

Yeah, I have both and the Shrapnel mix and the remix aren't radically different. At least that's how I remember it.

I haven't spun the Fifth Angel stuff in awhile until today. The mixes aren't that different. One cool thing is Metal Blade are using the cover art that was on the Shrapnel release.
