NWJ is such a bad character. How many conga line wrestlers are they gonna have? Personally I like Jinder and on another note, I hope they don’t turn Lars Sullivan into another Snitsky. I like Lars.

Have you seen that Smackdown has started beating RAW in the ratings again?
It's so stupid; Vince just doesn't seem to understand that he owns both companies so whichever one "wins" really doesn't matter to his bottom line. Yet that's apparently the rationale behind having Smackdown lose every match on the last PPV.
For a guy who has built such a money-making empire, Vince sure does act like a moron.

I wish they would have a heel yell for the ref to raise his/her hand after a victory only to pull it away like Jindroid just did.
I didn’t realize SD was beating Raw again. I thought they were both tanking. SD has always been the superior show IMO and I have to agree with you about VKM. Sadly we are getting inundated with Shane now. Give a push to Joe instead of making him look like a jobber. He does need to lose about 20-30 lbs and hit the gym a few days a week though.

And as usual I can't take the stupidity anymore and had to switch over to Monday Night Football where I'm seeing a 27-10 game in the third quarter.
Looks like bedtime for Toho.

It's pretty bad when the women talking to open Smackdown is better than anything I saw on Raw last night.

RIP
But you have to wonder if PEDs had something to do with his early departure. When that article starts talking about heart problems, seizures and strokes...you have to wonder.
But that still doesn't change the fact that it's sad that yet another of the wrestling icons from my childhood has passed. At this point it would probably be easier to name the ones that are still alive than to name the ones that are gone.

First off, RIP Dynamite Kid. It's such a shame he spent the last of his life as an angry and bitter man.
Addy wrote:

He's following the CM Punk model. Punk of course was straight edge and when he was a heel, he turned up the volume and became a self righteous overbearing "I'm better than you because I'm straight edge" heel.
Daniel is mostly vegan (I hear he will occasionally eat a little now and then only because a vegan lifestyle is hard to maintain when you're on the road all the time) and an environmentalist. He's taking that aspect of his person and turning the volume up to become a self righteous overbearing "I'm better than you because I'm a vegan and I care about the environment" heel.
It's a cheap way to get heat, but it's better than Dean Ambrose and his "I don't want to catch your disease" shtick.
Something funny I saw in a reaction video last week that I planned to post but never saw a topic reply link in my e-mail and I assumed nobody was posting here. Turns out there is still some activity around here that I missed.
The set up: Corbin, Drew, and Lashley/Rush in the ring. Corbin is getting cheap heat by insulting the crowd telling them that they are fat and lazy because they eat carbs while all the guys in the ring never touch the stuff. The guy on the reaction video said, "If you don't eat carbs, why does your stomach look like this..."
He also pointed out that you don't get as big as Bobby Lashley without eating any carbs. Corbin continues to suck the life out of the show.
Another thing, it seems the only thing WWE can do right now is generate heat with the heels, apart from that they continue to just spin their wheels.
Also, they NEED to take the mic away from Nia Jax. She sounds like a tranny who's hormone therapy hasn't kicked in. Enough of it!
BTW Toho, the past two Raws have been called the worst in history by a lot of people, so you are not alone. As stated above, the only thing they are doing right is generating heat for the heels.

Wrestling legend “The Axe” Larry Hennig has reportedly passed away at the age of 82.
The news of his passing was first reported by journalist Mike Mooneyham. Hennig was the grandfather to WWE Superstar Curtis Axel and the father to the late WWE Hall of Famer “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig.

At least he lived to a ripe, old age unlike a lot of wrestlers.
RIP

It is depressing but also brings back memories. I was living in Jackson, TN back in those days when Jerry Lawler was the booker and also main face character for Memphis wrestling and I remember when this big, brutal giant with face paint showed up one Saturday morning on the 2 hour weekly Memphis wrestling show on WMC Channel 5. Man wrestling was FUN back in those days! Not the lame BS it's become now.
And imagine that, I found video of it! Crappy video but still...

I gotta agree. Wrestling was fun back then. Maybe it was my youth and nostalgia factors into it, but I haven't watched wrestling in quite a few years (after tiring of the nonsense) and haven't missed it one bit.

Check out this podcast where Lawler talks about where the gimmick came from. I never knew it was from a Frank Frazetta painting. The clips is 7 minutes long but I think it's interesting.

Pro wrestling was just so much more fun back then.
I think part of the reason it sucks so much now is that Vince owns everything. There really aren't any viable alternatives to what bullshit he decides to put out there.
I think the other biggest part of the problem is that the product he DOES put out there is trying to be "politically correct" because Vince's wife is involved in politics and he can't put anything on a wrestling show that might cause her grief.
So yeah, the current pro wrestling scene sucks; worse than that, it's BORING. I only watch any of it once baseball season is over and even then, as I posted earlier in this thread, I usually end up looking for something else.

I'm watching RAW again and it's no wonder the ratings are in the tank; this is some boring, predictable s**t. Baseball season can't come soon enough for me.

I flipped over to Smackdown after the Rose Bowl started sucking. Lo and behold I see John Cena and he's grown his hair out. He looks a lot different...
