So, let's try this. It's supposed to be fun. I pick 4 songs/videos from Youtube, and people rate them from 1-5 stars (preferably with comments) and we tally the stars and one video wins. And hopefully it sparks some conversation.
I'll try and pick four somehow related artists/videos whether in genre or era, so that it's not a mishmash of stuff that can't be compared to each other. But I won't make any rules about how you should rate each of them. If you want to just rate the song and ignore the video, or vice versa (?), go for it.
I hope you rate ALL THE VIDEOS, on a scale of ONE TO FIVE.For example:
- Spoiler:
1st video: Dull otherwise, but what a nice solo. 2/5 stars.
2nd video: AWESOME SHRED MASTERY, I WORSHIP FOREVER 5/5
3rd video: Worst song I ever heard, and the lead singer is ugly 1/5
4th video: I liked it lots but since Eyesore also likes it, I can only give it 3/5.
etc etc
That's just an example. I think we now all understand the point of the thread, okay?
So, let's go. I'll do
underground melodic/symphonic metal from the past 5 years as the first topic, and if no-one cares it will also be the last topic. I'll let it run for maybe two weeks, and we'll see if there's demand for a Part Two.
